Your Power of Conditional Consent
The principles of trust, accountability and morality are not just empty concepts that can be ignored by those in power.
The responsibilities of governments arise from two core principles upon which our society is founded:
- that every person is a separate valued being with rights that can not be violated; and
- that governments were created for the purpose of protecting those rights.
Increasingly, we see governments abusing the immense powers of public offices to impose laws, policies or programs that undermine those core principles.
To restore government to its proper role, the Rights of All Persons must rise above all other laws and privileges.
When the rights of a person are swept away the outcome is tyranny by the majority.
Rights of Persons
Three Principles of Freedom
- Individual Rights
Do not sacrifice the rights of any individual or minority for the assumed rights of the group. - Equity Under Law
Do not endorse any law that does not apply to all citizens equally. - Freedom of Choice
Do not use coercion for any purpose except to protect human life, liberty, or property.
